Soviet "Red" Seals dive propulsion vehicle, Protei-5

Russian DPV runs against Farallon DPV at Dutch Springs on 7/6/2008. At high speed and full charge, the MK-7 is as fast as the Protei-5, but one diver had a SCR and the other LP steel doubles. One thing I did note about the
MK-7 is that is louder than the Protei-5. Good run with the Farallon before we actually rolled tape, but this video
does show some stunts, as we were racing right at each other on two clips, we each knew to swing to starboard to avoid collision! The MK-7 has a dead man's switch, but if one is knocked unconscious on the Protei-5, it will keep running, certainley a danger, as the rescue team will have to chase you down and find you still attached and racing away! Typical military thinking for the soviets!
